ČIURLIONIS "ESKIZAS"
The fabric “Sketch” was created based on M.K. Čiurlionis’s cover ornament design Tulips, intended for Sofija Čiurlionienė’s book In Lithuania, 1909.
This fabric reveals a freehand drawing motif, inspired by wooden Lithuanian folk carvings—specifically the tulip motif—woven into a rhythmic drawn composition and transformed into a new pattern. The free and sketch-like style gives the fabric a sense of aesthetics and boldness.
